SUMMARY OF THE DAY II OF TRAINING
As usual the training started with recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran as well as the attendance. Then the trainer reviewed the previous lesson and asked the students to answer questions individually, after which he reflected on the journal and asked one of the students to write it on a flip chart.
Then, he gave the third session under the title of SWOT analysis and entrepreneurial evaluation, and played a video of the life of two couples named Ms. Roya and Mr. Shafiq, which was about starting a business, with the aim of motivating them to start a business. After the distribution of the assessment form, the trainer asked the students to carefully review the form and fill it out. The purpose of distributing this form was to make students more familiar with the word entrepreneur and that the students know whether they are the right person to be an entrepreneur or not, and thus can evaluate themselves and their abilities.
Shortly afterwards, the workshop was handed over to Mr. Haqbeen, TEO Director. In this section, Haqbeen asked the students to point out three characteristics of success in their own words. The following three characteristics were obtained by summarizing and combining all the ideas presented:
Knowledge, Skills and attitude, then he defined and put lights on dimensions of each of the three capabilities. The discussion on further elaborating the three characteristics will continue in the coming days.
The trainer then gave the fourth session, entitled understanding the environment and the policy of social responsibility, and set up group work to ask students to write their ideas on a piece of paper, and then the representative of each group to present their written ideas to other students.
At the end of the work, the trainer graded the groups and encouraged the group that had the best answers in their writing.
After the break and creating a fun atmosphere, the trainer started the fifth session under the title of brand and enterprise policy and explained the basic concepts to the students by giving examples, and then he started the activity. He explained the above concepts (name, sign, logo …) and asked the students to fill in the form with full accuracy in pairs.
At the end of the group work, the trainer explained each of these concepts in detail to the students by giving examples.
In the final part of the sixth session, which was about introducing customers’ products and services those were explained to the students. Then the trainer set up group work and distributing flash cards, scissors … and asked them to use these tools/materials and skills to make a craft and write their group name on it.
