The Imam Abu Hanifa National and International exhibition has been held with participation of hundreds of entrepreneurs, micro, small, medium and large businesses and companies in Kabul with attendance of around 150,000 visitors. There were both Afghan and foreign manufacturers displaying their products.
Contracts worth about 20 million US Dollar were signed among various companies. The officials of the Islamic Emirate said the purpose of holding this exhibition is to support domestic products and ensure marketing these products.
Tashabos Educational Organization (TEO) with the close collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC) was successful to introduce Tashabos alumni, who were able to display their talents in the exhibition.
Many of the Tashabos graduates own and manage small businesses that majority of them are in their initial stages, attending such national and international exhibitions is the greatest success and chance for their development.
Two of the Tashabos alumni Ms. Valeena Nazari and Ms. Zahra Nasiri attended the exhibition that MoIC sponsored them, so their attendance was without paying the fee, while another Tashabos alumni Ms. Fatima Nasari member of ACCI attended exhibition with reduced cost paying AFN.2,000 for the six days in this fair.
Ms. Valeena products were: Handicraft (hand made collar, Afghani-dress, handbags). Ms. Fatima and Ms. Zahra products were: reproduction designed items, designing of ceramic/pottery ware/products, bracelets, ear-rings, penholders, and honey.
TEO Team visited the exhibition on July 18, 2023 and discussed the various aspects with the alumni. Below are the bullet points about the benefits of attending in exhibition from the Tashabos alumni point of views;
• Attending this exhibition we are able to sell many of our products, as well we got orders from new customers.
• This type of fairs provides a good communication channel for our brand reputation and expanding our relations. At the first/inauguration day of the exhibition some of the medias representatives such as; Ariana RTV, TV1/One, Shamshad TV, and Radio Begum that they interviewed us about our works, innovation, and future plans.
• I was able to discuss my business membership issue with the representative of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI); said Valeena Nazari.
• We realized the expectations of customers and of the visitors’ about our products and we will focus on designing the products accordingly to the market demand.
Using such opportunities lead Tashabos students/alumni toward their future self-sufficiency, good reputation, to expand market, and contribute to economic development.
